The works originate from a handcrafted and experimental process that makes each canvas unique. The surface is carefully prepared and enhanced with selected natural papers and textural inserts, creating an irregular, three-dimensional base rich in texture that emphasizes the structure of the canvas. Subsequently, this surface is worked in a non-uniform manner using mixed media, with water-soluble pastels playing a central role, creating layers, transparencies, and contrasts in dialogue with the underlying material. Each work reflects a balance between technical control and material spontaneity, marking the artist’s transition from a well-established digital practice to a more tactile, handcrafted, and material approach.
